The laundry department is in the lower level of the building and  launders more than 1,500 pounds of laundry per day including bed linens, table linens, towels, washcloths, and personal clothing.

We have four 100-pound washers and one 60-pound washer along with four 125-pound dryers. For comparison, the average washing machine in the home has a capacity of 6 to 15 pounds of clothing.

The laundry department plays an essential role in maintaining a healthy living
environment for the residents. From picking up the soiled linens from all areas of the building to sorting, washing,
drying, and folding/hanging linens/clothing and then delivering everything back to the units, the laundry department ensures proper care of the linens and personal clothing for our residents.

Our four full-time staff have a combined 100 years of experience at Pleasant View and are assisted by a few part-time staff. They have previous experience in nursing, dietary and housekeeping.
